According to the applicable rules of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we are obliged to inform you about our collection purposes as well as your rights.

Purpose of data processing
Your data will be processed for the purpose of claiming a refund of your semester ticket as a consequence of the introduction of the 9-Euro-Ticket.
The collection of the data is necessary for the purpose stated above. A refund is not possible without the processing of the data.
Data will not be transferred to third countries according to Articles 45–49 GDPR. The personal data is stored exclusively on servers in Germany.
Legal basis for data processing
Pursuant to Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR, data processing is necessary for the fulfillment of a legal obligation resulting from the temporary introduction of the 9-Euro-Ticket as part of the German government's energy relief package.
Collected data
The following personal data is recorded and processed by us as part of the request process:
- First and last name
- Bank account owner
- IBAN
- BIC
- validity of the semester ticket in the summer semester of 2022
- e-mail address
- username
- affiliation to the status group students
- matriculation number
- if applicable, date of matriculation/exmatriculation
Server log files
The provider of the sites automatically collects and stores information in what are known as server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. This information includes:
- browser type and version
- used operating system
- referrer URL
- host name of the accessing computer
- time of the server request
- IP address
This data is not merged with other data sources.
This data is collected on the basis of Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the technically error-free presentation and optimizazion of the website, for which the server log files have to be collected.
Duration of data storage
Personal data is deleted when it is no longer necessary for the fulfillment of the contract (Art. 17(1)(a) GDPR) and is no longer subject to the legal (in particular under tax law) retention periods (Art. 17(1)(e) GDPR).
Disclosure to third parties
The AStA will forward the data entered in the request to Verkehrsverbund Warnow for reimbursement. The AStA has signed a processing contract as per Art. 28 GDPR with Verkehrsverbund Warnow.
Furthermore, the subcontractor MüritzComp Dr. Evert & Dr. Sehan GmbH is designated by the client to process/convert Excel files into XML SEPA format under the condition of a contractual agreement according to Art. 28 para. 2-4 GDPR.
For persons who are already exmatriculated, the AStA generates individual access data and transmits these to the Student Secretariat for the purpose of establishing contact.
Your rights
According to the EU General Data Protection Regulation, you have the following rights:
According to Art.16 GDPR you have the right to rectify the data and according to Art.17 GDPR you have the right to have personal data erased if you can demonstrate interests worthy of protection. Irrespective of this, your personal data will be automatically deleted after a certain period of time or if the purpose for which it was processed no longer exists.
In addition, according to Art.18 GDPR, you have the right to restrict the processing of personal data if you can cite interests worthy of protection.
In accordance with Art. 20 GDPR, you also have the right to receive the personal data concerning you in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format.
Furthermore, in the case of data processing based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, you may object to this processing in accordance with Art. 21 GDPR.
In addition, you have the right to obtain information about data processing in accordance with Art.15 GDPR. This includes the right to information about the processing purposes, the categories of personal data concerned, the recipients of the data, the planned duration of data storage, about the right to erasure or rectification of data and the right to restrict processing, the right to object, the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority, about the source of the data and about the possible occurrence of automated decision-making.Wenn Sie die oben genannten Rechte ausüben möchten, wenden Sie sich bitte an:
